The Capital District Youth Chorale, formerly the SCCC Children’s Chorus, was founded in 1983 by Diane Warner. The singers are drawn from more than 40 schools across 5 counties of the Greater Capital District. Entrance into, and advancement within CDYC, is based upon audition results, experience, and availability/flexibility.

CDYC has appeared with more than 20 adult, college, school, and Community Children’s choirs and orchestras from

Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York. CDYC performs regularly with Albany Pro Musica and the Albany Symphony Orchestra.
